B. Booking & Payment
How do I book a tour with Markable Joy?
Simply browse our tour packages, select your preferred dates and group size, fill in your details, and complete the secure online payment. You'll receive an instant confirmation by email.
Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend booking at least 2–3 months in advance for travel between October and March (peak season) to lock in better prices, preferred hotels, and Taj Mahal entry slots. Last-minute bookings are also possible based on availability.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), net banking, UPI, and international payment options. All payments are processed through secure, encrypted gateways.
Do I need to pay the full amount at the time of booking?
For most tours, an initial deposit secures your booking, with the balance payable closer to the travel date. For shorter day tours and transfers, full payment is usually required at booking.
Will I receive a booking confirmation?
Yes. You'll receive an instant email confirmation with your booking voucher, itinerary, payment receipt, and emergency contact details.
Are taxes and GST included in the price?
Yes — all our package prices include applicable taxes and GST. There are no hidden charges.
Are there discounts for children, seniors, or groups?
Yes, we offer discounted rates for children (usually under 12), senior citizens, and groups of 6 or more. Contact us for a custom quote.
C. Cancellation & Refund
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the experience starts on most day tours and short experiences. Multi-day tours follow a tiered policy based on how close to departure you cancel. Specific terms are listed on each tour page.
How do I cancel my booking?
Email us or use the cancellation link in your booking confirmation. Once reviewed, your refund will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Will I get a full refund if I cancel?
Yes, if you cancel within the free-cancellation window stated for your tour. Cancellations after that window may incur partial charges depending on the tour type.
What happens if Markable Joy cancels my tour?
In the rare event we have to cancel (due to weather, force majeure, or operational reasons), you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost.
Can I reschedule my tour instead of cancelling?
Yes — we encourage rescheduling. Subject to availability, we'll move your booking to new dates without any penalty if requested in advance.
What if I miss my tour (no-show)?
No-shows are non-refundable. If you're running late, please contact us immediately so we can try to accommodate you.
D. Tour Packages & Itineraries
What types of tours do you offer?
We offer Golden Triangle tours, Taj Mahal day tours, Delhi city tours, Jaipur tours, Rajasthan heritage tours, Ranthambore wildlife safaris, Udaipur honeymoon packages, luxury private tours, and custom itineraries.
Can I customize my itinerary?
Absolutely. Every tour can be tailored to your preferences — duration, hotel category, pace, special interests (food, photography, spirituality), and additional destinations like Pushkar, Varanasi, Rishikesh, or Khajuraho.
Are your tours private or group tours?
Most of our tours are private, meaning only you and your party will be on the tour with your dedicated guide and driver. We also offer small group departures for solo travelers seeking company.
What is included in the tour price?
Inclusions typically cover accommodation, private air-conditioned vehicle, English-speaking guide, breakfast (and more meals in some packages), monument entry fees, all taxes, and 24/7 support. Each tour page lists exact inclusions.
What is NOT included?
International/domestic flights, lunch and dinner (unless specified), personal expenses, tips, camera fees at certain monuments, and travel insurance are generally excluded.
How long are your tours?
We offer everything from 1-day Taj Mahal tours to 15+ day comprehensive India tours. The most popular options are the 3-day Golden Triangle, 6-day Golden Triangle with Ranthambore, and 10–12-day Rajasthan circuits.
Can I add extra destinations to my tour?
Yes — common extensions include Ranthambore (tigers), Udaipur (lakes), Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Pushkar, Varanasi, Rishikesh, Khajuraho, and Goa.
E. Golden Triangle Tours (Delhi–Agra–Jaipur)
What is the Golden Triangle Tour?
The Golden Triangle is India's most iconic tourist circuit, connecting three cities — Delhi (the capital), Agra (Taj Mahal), and Jaipur (the Pink City of Rajasthan).
How many days do I need for the Golden Triangle?
3 days is the minimum; 5–6 days is ideal for unhurried sightseeing, including a stop at Fatehpur Sikri. Squeezing it into 2 days means rushing through monuments.
What is the best time of year for a Golden Triangle tour?
October to March, when the weather is cool and pleasant. Avoid April–June (extreme heat) and July–September (monsoon).
How do you travel between Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur?
Most travelers prefer a private air-conditioned car with a driver, which offers maximum flexibility. We can also book Vande Bharat express trains (Delhi–Agra: 1h 40m; Delhi–Jaipur: 3h 35m).
Can I do the Golden Triangle on a budget?
Yes — we offer budget, mid-range, and luxury Golden Triangle packages. Budget tours start from around USD 200–300 per person, while luxury heritage options can exceed USD 1,500.
F. Taj Mahal & Agra
What are the Taj Mahal opening hours?
The Taj Mahal is open from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes before sunset, every day except Friday (when it remains closed for prayers).
Can I see the Taj Mahal at sunrise?
Yes — and we highly recommend it. Sunrise is the most magical time, with soft light, fewer crowds, and the marble glowing pink/gold. Our Taj sunrise tours pick you up before dawn.
Is night viewing of the Taj Mahal available?
Yes, on five nights per month (the full moon night and two nights before/after). Night viewing is limited to 400 visitors per night in batches of 50, and tickets must be purchased a day in advance.
How much is the Taj Mahal entry ticket?
Foreign tourists pay around INR 1,100 (plus an extra INR 200 for entry to the main mausoleum). Indian nationals pay INR 50, and SAARC/BIMSTEC nationals pay INR 540. Rates can change — we always include current entry fees in our tour prices.
How long should I spend at the Taj Mahal?
Plan for 2–3 hours to comfortably explore the gardens, main mausoleum, and surrounding buildings. Photography enthusiasts often spend longer.
Besides the Taj Mahal, what else can I see in Agra?
Agra Fort (UNESCO site), Fatehpur Sikri (40 km away), Itmad-ud-Daulah (the "Baby Taj"), Mehtab Bagh (sunset view of the Taj across the river), and the Tomb of Akbar at Sikandra.
Can I take photos inside the Taj Mahal?
You can photograph the outside, gardens, and surroundings freely. Photography inside the main mausoleum (where the tombs are) is prohibited. Tripods and drones are also not allowed.
What should I wear when visiting the Taj Mahal?
Modest, comfortable clothing covering shoulders and knees is best. You'll need to remove shoes (or wear provided shoe covers) before entering the main mausoleum.
G. Delhi Tours
What are the top attractions in Delhi?
Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Connaught Place, Chandni Chowk markets, and the Gandhi memorial at Raj Ghat.
How many days are enough to see Delhi?
2 days lets you cover Old and New Delhi comfortably. 1 day works for a quick highlights tour if you're short on time.
Should I take Old Delhi or New Delhi tour?
Both — they're entirely different worlds. Old Delhi is bustling, historic, and Mughal; New Delhi is leafy, colonial, and political. Our day tours cover both.
Is there a rickshaw ride in Old Delhi included?
Yes, a rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk is a highlight of our Old Delhi tours.
H. Jaipur & Rajasthan
Why is Jaipur called the Pink City?
The old city was painted pink in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales. Pink symbolizes hospitality in Rajput culture, and the tradition has continued.
What are the must-see places in Jaipur?
Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Jantar Mantar observatory, Jal Mahal (Water Palace), Nahargarh Fort, and the colorful bazaars of Johari and Bapu Bazaar.
Can I ride an elephant at Amber Fort?
Elephant rides are still available but increasingly discouraged due to animal welfare concerns. We recommend the jeep ride up to the fort as an ethical alternative.
Can I extend my Jaipur trip to other Rajasthan cities?
Yes — popular extensions include Udaipur (City of Lakes), Jodhpur (Blue City), Jaisalmer (Golden City), Pushkar, Bikaner, and Mount Abu. A complete Rajasthan circuit takes 10–14 days.
I. Ranthambore Tiger Safari
What are the chances of seeing a tiger in Ranthambore?
Ranthambore is one of the best places in the world to spot Bengal tigers, with sightings on roughly 60–70% of safaris. Booking 2 or more safaris in different zones significantly increases your chances.
When is Ranthambore National Park open?
The park is open from 1 October to 30 June. It closes during monsoon (July to September) for breeding season.
What are the safari timings?
Morning safari: roughly 6:00 AM – 10:30 AM; afternoon safari: roughly 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Exact times shift with the season.
What's the difference between jeep and canter safari?
A jeep (Gypsy) holds 6 people and offers a more private experience. A canter is a larger open vehicle for 20 people and is more budget-friendly but feels more crowded.
Which zone is best for tiger sightings?
Zones 1–5 (core zones) have the highest tiger density. Zones 6–10 are quieter but still offer good sightings. Zone allocation is random unless you book through a tour operator with quota access — which we have.
How do I get to Ranthambore?
By train to Sawai Madhopur (10 km from the park), or by car from Jaipur (3.5 hours), Delhi (8 hours), or Agra (5 hours). We can arrange all transfers.
J. Udaipur Tours
Why is Udaipur famous?
Udaipur is known as the "City of Lakes" and the "Venice of the East," famous for its stunning palaces, romantic lake settings, and royal heritage. It's a top honeymoon destination.
What are the top things to do in Udaipur?
City Palace, Lake Pichola boat ride, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon-ki-Bari gardens, Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace) at sunset, Bagore-ki-Haveli cultural show, and a sunset cruise on Lake Pichola.
How many days should I spend in Udaipur?
2–3 days is ideal. Add a day if you want to visit Eklingji and Nathdwara temples or Kumbhalgarh Fort.
K. Transport & Transfers
Do you provide airport pickups and drops?
Yes — we offer airport, railway station, and hotel transfers across all major Indian cities, available 24/7. You can book a transfer separately from any tour package.
What kind of vehicles do you use?
Air-conditioned sedans (Toyota Etios, Dzire) for couples, SUVs (Innova, Crysta) for families, and Tempo Travellers/coaches for larger groups. All vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and driven by experienced chauffeurs.
Is the driver also the tour guide?
Drivers in India are usually not licensed guides. For each city, we provide a separate certified local guide along with the driver, ensuring expert commentary at every monument.
Do drivers and guides speak English?
Yes — all our drivers communicate basic English, and all our guides are fluent in English. We also have guides who speak Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, and other languages on request.
L. Visa, Documents & Entry Requirements
Do I need a visa to visit India?
Most foreign nationals need a visa to enter India. India offers an e-Tourist Visa (eTV) which can be applied for online and is usually issued within 72 hours. Check the official Indian government portal for your country's eligibility.
How long is the e-Tourist Visa valid?
The e-Tourist Visa is available for 30 days, 1 year, or 5 years, with multiple entries allowed for the longer versions.
What documents should I carry on the tour?
Original passport with valid visa, printed copy of your booking voucher, a few passport photos, and a backup ID. We recommend keeping digital copies in cloud storage as backup.
M. Currency, Money & Tipping
What is the local currency?
The Indian Rupee (INR or ₹). USD, EUR, and GBP are widely exchangeable at airports, banks, and authorized exchange offices.
Are credit cards accepted in India?
Yes — credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx) are accepted at hotels, restaurants, and larger shops. Carry cash for street vendors, small markets, tips, and rural areas.
How much cash should I carry per day?
For mid-range travelers, around INR 2,000–3,000 per day in cash is sufficient for tips, small purchases, snacks, and incidentals.
Is tipping expected in India?
Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory. Customary amounts: INR 300–500 per day for your driver, INR 500–1000 per day for your guide, 10% at restaurants (if not already included), and INR 50–100 for hotel porters.
N. Food & Dietary Requirements
Is Indian food too spicy?
Indian cuisine is flavorful but doesn't have to be spicy. Most hotels and tourist restaurants serve mild versions on request. Let us know your spice preference in advance.
Can you accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or halal diets?
Yes — India is one of the easiest countries for vegetarians, with extensive vegan, Jain, gluten-free, and halal options. Just mention your dietary needs at booking.
Is it safe to drink tap water in India?

Can I eat street food in India?
Street food is part of the experience! Stick to busy, freshly-cooked stalls. Our guides can recommend safe, trusted food stops in each city.
O. Safety & Health
Is India safe for tourists?
Yes — the main tourist circuits (Golden Triangle, Rajasthan, Kerala) are generally very safe. Standard precautions apply: avoid isolated areas at night, use trusted transport, and keep valuables secure. We provide 24/7 support throughout your trip.
Is India safe for solo female travelers?
Yes, with sensible precautions. We strongly recommend a private driver and pre-arranged accommodation for solo female travelers — both of which are included in our tours. Many of our female clients travel India solo and have a wonderful experience.
Do I need vaccinations to travel to India?
Routine vaccinations (Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus) are commonly recommended. Consult your doctor or a travel clinic 6–8 weeks before departure for personalized advice.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and lost luggage. It's not mandatory for booking but highly advised.
What if I fall sick during the tour?
Our 24/7 support team will arrange medical care immediately. India has excellent private hospitals in all major cities, and our guides can assist with translation and logistics.
P. Best Time to Travel
What is the best time to visit India?
October to March offers the most comfortable weather across most of India — sunny days, cool evenings, and clear skies. This is also the peak tourist season.
Can I visit India during summer (April–June)?
Yes, but be prepared for high temperatures (40°C+ in the plains). It's a good time for hill stations like Shimla, Manali, and Mussoorie.
What is monsoon travel like (July–September)?
The plains can be hot and humid, with heavy rainfall. However, Kerala, Goa, and Rajasthan come alive with lush greenery. Ranthambore is closed during monsoon.
Q. Family, Children & Senior Travelers
Are your tours suitable for families with children?
Yes — we design family-friendly itineraries with age-appropriate activities, comfortable hotels, slower pacing, and child-safe meals.
Are your tours suitable for senior travelers?
Absolutely. We adjust the pace, choose hotels with elevators, minimize long drives, and arrange wheelchair assistance where needed. Just let us know at booking.
Is the Taj Mahal wheelchair accessible?
Yes — the Taj Mahal is fully accessible to physically disabled visitors, with ramps and wheelchairs available at the entry gate.
R. Accommodation

Can I upgrade or change my hotel?
Yes — let us know your preferences and we'll quote the upgrade. We also work with boutique hotels and heritage havelis for travelers seeking unique experiences.
Are hotels family-friendly?
All our partner hotels welcome families and can arrange extra beds, cribs, child-friendly meals, and connecting rooms on request.
S. Dress Code & Etiquette
What should I wear in India?
Light, breathable, modest clothing — covering shoulders and knees — is best, especially when visiting temples and monuments. A scarf is useful for women in religious sites.
Are there any cultural etiquette rules I should know?
Remove shoes before entering temples and homes. Avoid public displays of affection. Ask permission before photographing locals. Use your right hand for eating and giving/receiving. Don't point your feet at people or religious objects.
T. Photography & Drones
Are drones allowed at monuments?
No — drones are prohibited at most Indian monuments, including the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, and Agra Fort, without special permits. Confiscation and fines apply.
Is photography free at all monuments?
Still photography with a phone or basic camera is usually free. Some sites charge an extra fee for video cameras and professional equipment.
U. Connectivity & Practicalities
Will I have mobile/internet access during the tour?
Yes — we recommend buying a local prepaid SIM (Airtel or Jio) on arrival, or using an international roaming plan. Most hotels offer free Wi-Fi.

India Standard Time (IST) is UTC +5:30, with no daylight saving.
What is the electric voltage in India?
